Dr. Audrey Townsel

Dr. Audrey Townsel is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of mental health experience and leadership. She is the owner of Calyx Psychological Services where she offers individual therapy and consulting services for government and private organizations in strategic planning and mental health program development. She is also the co-founder of Thrive Integrated Living, Inc., a housing provider for recently incarcerated individuals.

Dr. Townsel held several leadership positions in mental health, having served as Director of Psychology at Western Mental Health Institute, Mental Health Director for the Shelby County Jails and Regional Vice President of Operations for a national correctional healthcare company. She has a passion for improving and developing evidence-based, trauma-informed systems resulting in positive therapeutic outcomes for those seeking mental health services.

A native Memphian, Dr. Townsel earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from Xavier University of Louisiana. She went on to complete a master’s degree in healthcare administration at Tulane University and a Master’s and Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University in South Florida.
