Lewis Senior Center

Located in the heart of North Memphis, the J.K. Lewis Senior Center serves as a welcoming gathering place where seniors can connect, remain active, and continue to thrive. In December 2024, Forward 901, Inc. came with cheer providing a holiday lunch accompanied by thoughtful gifts, creating a moment of joy and celebration for the seniors served by the center.

Students and staff from Pure Academy joined Forward 901 in this special occasion, serving with care and engaging wholeheartedly with the residents. What unfolded was more than an act of service, it was a meaningful exchange across generations. The seniors welcomed the young men with open arms, sharing laughter, wisdom, and even teaching them how to line dance.

It was a powerful reminder that when generations come together, both are enriched and community is strengthened in the most lasting way.
